NIGERIA BEAT ALGERIA IN UYO

Victor Moses scored twice while Mikel Obi also scored as the super eagles took beat the desert foxes in Uyo.
The game which had generated much anxiety and argument among fans started rather dully. Moses opened the scoring in the 24th minuet after breeding past the Algeria defence to slot home a long range strike past the Algeria goalkeeper, much to the delight of the home crowd.
Mikel Obi,who has been frozen out of the Chelsea team this season grabbed the second goal minutes before half time,although it looked more like an offside goal,replay showed that it wasn't.
Algeria dominated much part of the second half and were rewarded for their effort when Nabil Bentalab fired a long range shot past Daniel Akpeyi to pull one back. But it wasn't enough as Victor Moses added another goal minuets before full time.

With this win Nigeria remain top of group B,4 points above second placed Cameroon who were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Zambia.
Nigeria next match in the qualifier is against Cameroon at home in August 2017
