The social and management science election that was held last thursday suffered a stain on its plain white as security adequacy was not enough.
The election that witnessed a huge turnout, especially a larger crowd from the department of mass communication started In an orderly manner at about some minutes after ten. But hours that followed didn't follow the normal proceeding as students behaved anyhow and was not reprimanded by the school security officer.
The excess crowd erupted into some people voting twice or even more than as security measures was not enough to curb the works of the law breakers that disguise as candidate agents and this have resulted into a tongue lashing of the security officers.
A student of mass communication Igarama Samson said, "At the beginning the organization was nice but I don't know what happened along the line, things started going wrong and everybody started moving towards the ballot boxes ".
When asked about who to be blamed he said," I think the security officers should be blamed,it is their job, they should have been able to organise the student and guide them to a free and fair election"
