OOU, BEST STATE UNIVERSITY IN 2016

The prestigious school, great OOU as fondly called by its students, has been awarded the best state University in Nigeria for the year 2016.

 The award was presented to the University by the Institute for Governance Research, Leadership and Technology at an event that took place on Friday, 28th October, 2016 at Nicon Hotel, Abuja.

 OOU was nominated the best based on its outstanding performance in areas such as, Excellent in university infrastructure, Expertise in university academic, campus general performance and so on.




    The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Saburi Adejimi Adesanya received the award on behalf the University and thanked the Institute for its meticulous and wise nomination, recalling that NUC also named OOU best state university back in 2014.

   He assured the audience that the University would work sedulously in maintaining its development. He dedicated the award to the staff and students of OOU for their hardwork, cooperation and diligence.


  Nevertheless, there has been mixed feelings amongst the students as whether the University deserves the award or not.
